10 interior designers you need to follow on Instagram

September 19, 2016

Instagram has become many an interior designer’s best friend. Rather than having to wait monthly or quarterly to display their most exciting new projects, designers showcase them immediately—and oftentimes throughout the design process. There is an enormous number of designers you can choose to follow on social media, so it’s impossible to keep up with everyone. But these 10 pages are a great place to start.

Ashley Hicks (@ashleyhicks1970)

Talk about sophistication! Captivating architecture takes center stage in Ashley Hicks’ feed. The London designer provides us with a passport across the pond.

Ashley Stark Kenner (@ashleytstark)

If you’re anything like us, you’ll want to call every single interior Ashley Stark Kenner posts your own. From super glamorous to rustic, Stark‘s creative director displays a plethora of design inspiration on her page daily.

Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz (@noriegaortiz)

Yes, we love Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz’s design style, and we really love that Benjamin shows off his fashion sense through Instagram—#beardlife selfies and all.

(Not to mention, you don’t want to miss any adorable #UncleDrew posts.) Social media and branding often go hand in hand. Drew shared insight on how to develop a specific identity for your firm during a recent #TipTuesday segment.

Joe Lucas (@joeyluke)

Get a dose of California living from Joe Lucas’ Instagram page. While design is certainly the driving force of his images, the Lucas Studio owner sprinkles in selfies and other fun personal tidbits to keep things interesting.

Interesting products, fine fabrics and plenty of fun… Jonathan Savage shows off his day-to-day happenings as a Nashville designer with ongoing projects across the country.

Kate Rumson (@katerumson)

Social media maven Kate Rumson juggles her personal Instagram and The Real Houses of IG account flawlessly. Her personal page shows off stunning decor, events and travels, all while giving you a dose of personality. Two months ago, GDG spoke to Kate about her social media strategy and how she recommends newbies navigate the technology. Check out the interview here.

Mark Sikes (@markdsikes)

If we were to describe interior designer Mark Sikes’ Instagram account in one word, it would be tranquil. Among images of gorgeous models are photographs that incorporate so much blue and others that show off a wealth of greenery.

Nicole Gibbons (@nicolegibbonsstyle)

It’s no wonder Nicole Gibbons has nearly 18,000 Instagram followers. Between chic interiors and beautiful landscapes, this self-proclaimed decor-obsessed #girlboss often shows off her #OOTD. This Instagram page is certainly not short on style.

Will Taylor (@brightbazaar)

If you’re a fan of color, Bright Bazaar founder Will Taylor is a must-follow. His Instagram stories remind us to see the beauty in every little thing we pass by—tomatoes at market, the extra blue sky, turquoise sneakers against gray pavement.
