Pindler & Pindler is pleased to introduce patterns 1950-Bandar, and 1952-Ceylon, the latest additions to our Signature Exclusive Newport Mansions Collection. These two crewel patterns were inspired by the tapestry upholstery used on the 18th century Louis XV furniture found within the Elms and Kingscote Mansions. Pindler’s patterns, 1950-Bandar and 1952-Ceylon, have been hand-embroidered with quality wool yarns on a fine linen base cloth. This traditional embroidery technique is still being produced by the same remote villages of Kashmir, India. Michael Taylor Designs is pleased to announce the recent installation of two Irish Hall Chairs in our Los Angeles Showroom. These elegant dining chairs are upholstered in our own Linen Basket weave fabric. In addition, Michael Taylor is excited to announce that in Fall 2010 we will be introducing a new wood back version of our Irish Hall chairs inspired by the original dining chairs used frequently in Michael Taylor’s interiors. The new Irish Hall chairs are hand carved, feature antiqued leather loose seat cushions and will showcase a fresh set of interior finishes for Michael Taylor Designs. The two fabrics featured in the first picture are Imbali and Aviator; both upholstery weight fabrics. Imbali, a linen cotton mix is named after the Zulu name for “”Flowers”, and the neutral plaid in Aviator reminds us of a vintage pilot’s jacket and scarf. Bernie de Le Cuona will be giving a presentation on these fabrics and the rest of the new collection on Wednesday, October 6th at 2pm in the de Le Cuona with special guest Dara Caponigro of Veranda Magazine.
