VERANDA Magazine editors and a committee of designers and artisans nominated people or companies whose work represents the art of design and today’s definition of luxury.  VERANDA documented “a day in the life” of each of the four winners in a short film, which will premiere at DCOTA on March 11.

This lustrous plain fabric comes in 16 colorways that coordinate with their  fabrics and wallpapers. With metallics, a little goes a long way.

“The interiors concept for the entry foyer of the Showhouse was a client who collects contemporary art, antique English furniture and has a great yearning for wonderful and clear colors.  The main goal was always to maintain a timeless look in a difficult to furnish space.  And, at the same time no to fall into the entrapment of “of the moment” decorating.  Our color sense, the use of bold fabrics and interesting ways of upholstery goes to prove one can be up to date without being an interiors victim.  The artwork encompasses from early Warhol to studies by young, up and coming artists.”

Design Philosophy

“My design philosophy is that ultimate style is comfort and suitability, no matter where, when or how large or small a space. I eschew trends of the moment for classic looks. I do believe in an occasional bit of fun and riotous color.”

Created in 1901, the fabric designed by Austrian designer and painter, stands the test of time, still looking fresh today.
