California-based interior designer Melissa Kirkpatrick will debut her collection on October 10 during DDB's Fall Market.
Kirkpatrick will be celebrating the arrival of her fabrics and the launch of her passementerie collection at Jerry Pair which will be representing her line in New York.
The MK Collection, which is just a year old, includes woven fabrics made by a third-generation family-run mill in Italy and prints hand-screened and printed in either the USA or Switzerland using a copper rotary printer on Belgian linen.
Everything is designed by Melissa, an artist by training, who draws upon her past work as a fabric consultant to some of the world's most venerated fabric house. She works out of her studio in Los Angeles.
“As I worked with great fabric houses in Europe, I discovered an endless supply of textures and fabrics to marry with my designs,” she says. “I knew my passion for art had found its home in fabrics.”
