This showroom will complement their existing 4,000-square-foot showroom on West 21st Street, and is designed to better serve the wood flooring needs of their New York clientele.
Officially, the showroom opened last month, and owner Steve Skutelsky is thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Fall Market, to show designers what PID has to offer.
We caught up with him to see what he had to say about life in the DDB.
“It might be one of the best things we’ve ever done,” he said. “It’s very busy; there are always designers coming in and out.”
Steve said his goal for the company is to put its stamp on NYC, and he wants designers to know that his wood floors are one of a kind.
PID Floors, first owned by Steve’s father, has been a staple in the New York design community for over 25 years, and those years were spent searching the world for the most dazzling, elegant and refined wood flooring.
“It’s not a really large space, but it opens us up to so many new designers that basically live in the D&D,” said Steve. “Having two showrooms in the city is big for us.”
