The Shade Store and Nate Berkus are long-time design project partners; The Shade Store provided window treatments for Berkus’s hit show on TLC, Nate & Jeremiah by Design.
The Shade Store now announces the launch of a new collaborative collection for the premier custom window treatment resource, Nate Berkus for The Shade Store available now. The exclusive collection features roller shade patterns that is available in The Shade Store’s 55 locations nationwide and online.
Nate Berkus established his award-winning interior design firm at the age of 24, and since then has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and every major publication from AD to VOGUE to ELLE Decor.
“Nate is an extremely talented designer and the breadth of his patterns for this collection are truly refreshing when combined with the clean, tailored look of a roller shade,” said Ian Gibbs, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Shade Store.
The Nate Berkus for The Shade Store collection was inspired by Nate’s love of travel and knack for collecting handmade items along his journeys. Placemats in Mexico, embroidery from Southeast Asia and printed European fabrics are paid homage in several of the collection’s patterns. Reimagined classic patterns are blended with a sophisticated color palette of muted greys and neutrals segmented with pops of color.
“Every collection is inspired by the things I see on my travels, the people, the places, things made by hand,” said Berkus, “The patterns I designed for this collection are no different. I wanted them to feel hand drawn and unexpected.”
Nate’s intention for the collection is to seamlessly blend these reimagined classics into what people already live with in their homes. “I worked with a palette of greys, neutrals and colors that feels special and effortlessly stylish, no matter what room they are used in,” Berkus said.
