On Thursday, May 17, Pindler, an industry leader and international wholesaler of decorative fabrics, celebrated its new Los Angeles showroom — a 3,500-square-foot facility located at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood — with a grand opening ceremony for the design trade.

Pindler moved to this showroom from a different suite in the Pacific Design Center. The new space is bigger and brighter than the previous showroom, with natural lighting that shines through the windows lining the back of the room. Designed to facilitate a user-friendly fabric shopping experience, the décor and layout of the showroom create a bright, light feel. The showroom also includes a coffee bar, concrete floors and a work area for designers to spread out and collaborate with their clients.

To meet the needs of busy designers, the showroom — like all Pindler’s showrooms — also offers an easy-to-use self-service memo program. The company’s sampling method and new book library allow for a more efficient process by eliminating the time spent waiting for memos to be pulled by a librarian. “At Pindler, our goal is to always provide the best possible experience for our clients,” said Curt Pindler, Pindler’s chairman and CEO. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this beautiful new showroom to make fabric selection easier and more enjoyable for designers in the LA area.”

The new LA showroom will display Pindler’s newest fabrics and exclusive collections. The showroom is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pindler currently has 16 corporate showrooms and seven agent showroom locations across the country as well as three agent showrooms in Canada. The Sunbrella Architexture Collection by Richard Frinier features nine patterns inspired by architectural design elements. The sophisticated collection — which showcases Frinier’s appreciation for the role that architecture plays in society — draws inspiration from a growing architectural movement that involves the surfacing and resurfacing of buildings around the world. The industrial-inspired collection is brought to life through blueprints of photographs of buildings, which are then translated into a versatile range of textiles with distinctive colors, patterns, textures and constructions.

“We’re pleased to introduce this incredible new indoor and outdoor collection to the design trade,” said Sarah Williamson, design manager of Pindler. “Partnering with Richard Frinier on the Sunbrella Architexture Collection allowed us to combine two major design trends — architectural inspiration and performance fabrics — both in high demand within the marketplace.”

Richard Frinier is a prolific and internationally acclaimed designer focused on product design, creative visualization and direction. For more than three decades, he has successfully created authentic, relevant and memorable designs widely respected by the trade and specified by architects, interior designers and consumers for a variety of interior and exterior spaces. “We’re delighted to launch these new, luxurious collections,” said Pindler Design Manager Sarah Williamson. “The In The Details and Wanderlust collections bring trend-inspiring, in-demand design elements — decorative trims and vibrant colors — to the design trade. We’re looking forward to seeing the creative ways they are used by interior designers.”

The Exclusive Wanderlust Collection is selection of five fabric designs — all exclusive to Pindler — that draw inspiration from the feeling of wanderlust. It is made with a combination of vibrant colors and natural tones that are perfect for creating a bold, beautiful indoor setting. Woven and embellished with natural yarns such as cotton, linen and wool, this collection is contemporized and has a global appeal.

In The Details is an elegant grouping of decorative transitional trims and tapes that are ready-to-use. Made with luxurious linens, touches of sophisticated metallic, and unique techniques and constructions, the collection blends together all design aesthetics to offer many options for added embellishment in a variety of versatile colors and designs.
