This Holiday Season submit your picks for the Luxe Residential Excellence in Design (RED) Awards.
The 2018 Luxe RED Awards will honor excellence, innovation and the best residential architecture, interior design and landscape architecture project across the country in nine categories. The categories include:
- Contemporary Interior Design
- Classic Interior Design
- Contemporary Architecture
- Kitchen
- Bathroom
- Landscape Design
- Outdoor Living Space
- Major Restoration or Renovation.
These awards were inspired from Luxe’s 6-month BE RED campaign dedicated to honoring luxury design in the industry.
“The undercurrent is informed by architecture and interiors, but more so, BE RED is an attitude and an approach; a desire to seek out and celebrate design,” Pamela Jaccarino, Vice President and Editor in Chief of Luxe Interiors + Design.
Entries are voted on regionally (New York, Miami, Palm Beach, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Arizona, Colorado, San Francisco, Southern California, Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest). The regional category winners will compete on a national level where one national winner will be chosen in each category.
There will also be a Reader’s Choice Award decided by the general public for each category with online voting from January 15, 2018 – February 1, 2018 on luxeredawards.com.
The ultimate grand prize will be, drumroll please, editorial coverage in the May/June 2018 issue of Luxe Interiors + Design, which is also distributed in over 250+ private jet terminals across the country.
However, the real driver of this competition is to encourage and challenge designers to be daring and different.
“To a large extent we’re seeing the same design aesthetic popping up on our feeds every day. That can tend to dilute what’s really happening in our world. As a brand, we’ve always been dedicated to showing off design across the country,” Jaccarino said.
The deadline to submit yourself or colleagues closes on December 15, 2017. You may submit up to 5 images per project in jpg format at a minimum of 300 dpi with no more than a 250-word project description. The all-star judges table will seat Pamela Jaccarino, Kathryn Ireland, Holly Hunt, Ellie Cullman, Tom Kligerman and Paul Wiseman.
Each project will be judged on its aesthetics, its regional relevancy and its creativity. National and Regional winners will be recognized at the Luxe RED Awards ceremony this spring in New York City.
“We’re truly looking forward to being inspired and seeing creative work that sparks a new idea or trend. It’s also going to be very gratifying to bring together so many design talents from our industry to fete them at our awards ceremony.” Jaccarino said.
