The Parties: A grand, Grand Opening! A French fête! A collaborative soiree! Three cocktail receptions topped off Day 1 of DDB’s Fall Market and Go Design Go was there taking in every moment, and a few much needed sips of prosecco.
Gloster Furniture, now at home in Suite 1601, has officially opened their sleek glass doors during a Market cocktail party. Light bites and sweet sips circled around innovative furniture and seemingly weightless floating greenery.
One thing we know for sure… the French sure know how to party. Élitis also celebrated Fall Market with a chic affair. GDG’s new favorite plant? Élitis’ macaroon tree, flanked by mini pumpkins, perfect for October.
Lladró proved the Spanish can party just as hard as the French, with their cocktail fiesta. Their beautiful redesigned showroom hosted an array of guests and delicate sculptural art.
The People: Although, Martha Stewart couldn’t stay for cocktails a variety of industry professionals and design enthusiasts celebrated day one of Market. Rio Hamilton was spotted, camera in hand alongside Barbara Treadwell of Decorating Den Interiors and interior designer Benjamin Huntington in Lladró, while interior designer Darren Varden enjoyed the Fête Française at Élitis.
Gloster’s bash co-hosted by Kendell Cronstrom, editor of NYC&G, had a star-studded guest list as well. Gloster CEO, Svend Loevbjerg and designer Henrik Pederson, flew in from Copenhagen, Denmark especially for the NY Studio opening. Henrik has designed many collections for Gloster, the latest of which is LOOP.
The Top on Tap: With one day down and one to go, the cocktail glasses clinked to toast another year of DDB Fall Market revelry. Buzz and excitement for #DDBFallMarket17, plus the addition of a fabulous new showroom to boot, emanated from all three parties. Cheers to this record-breaking DDB Fall Market!
